Let's know about India's Moon Mission Chandryan-2, it's launching date, Organisation and more.
India's 2nd moon mission "Chandryan-2 " will be launched in months of April or May, earlier time was January to ferbuary but due to some reason in launching of satellite it's time schedule is shifted to January - February to next two months later. The Moon Mission, Chandryan-2 will be completed by the end of the year 2012-13. It will be help in analysis of mineral composition and undertaking maping of the Moon .
The Indian Space Research Orguanisation (ISRO) and Russian Federal space agency (Roskomos) have signed an agreement on joint lunar research and exploration. Chandryan-2 mission involving a lunar orbiting spacecraft and two landers/rovers on the Moon surface. It consists of a spacecraft and a landing platform for with the Moon rovers. The platform with the rovers will detach after the spacecraft reaches the Orbit above the Moon and land on the lunar surfaces.
Two rovers will release on the Moon's surface from the lander. The location of the lander will be identified using data from the Chandryan-2. The rovers weigh will be 30kg and 100kg, depending whether they are to do a semi hard landing or soft landing. The rovers have an operating life-span of a month, and will run predominaly on solar power. It's costs will be 450crore. Chandryan-2 will identify & pick up samples of soil & rocks, do a chemicals analysis and send to data to the spacecraft orbiting. ISRO has"smartnav" robot which will help to scientists to navigate Moon's surfaces during the Moon Mission and provide real-time data and pictures from the there. The two legged robots, fitted with
Specified senseros and cameras is capable of recording information and images using laser beams. It will be interesting if India launched satellite successfully, "Chandryan-2 moon mission."
