Cynaobacteria is also called as blue-green algae. Let's know about Cynaobacteria it's classifications and functions.
1.Introduction
Have you ever heard about "Cynaobacteria". It is also known as blue-green algae. Cynaobacteria are aquatic and photosynthesis, and they live in water & manufacturers their own food. Cynaobacteria are usually small & unicellular, though they often grow in colonies i.e large enough to see. They have also fossil, more than 3.5 billion years old In fact! It may be surprise you then to know that Cynaobacteria are still around ;they are one of the largest and most important groups of bacteria.
Kingdom - Eubacteia
Classification - True bacteria
Rank-phylum
Phylum - Cynaobacteria
2. Important of blue-green algae
Cynaobacteria conducts photosynthesis using sunshine, water and carbon dioxide to produce carbohydrates & oxygen. Benificts of Cynaobacteria in management of soil and environmental includes the economic benefits nutrients cycling, Nitrogen fixation , bioabilities of phosphorus, water storage and movement, environmental protection and prevention of pollution and land degradation. Cynaobacteria are important bacteria for the health and growth of many plants. They are one of the very few groups of organism that can convert inert atmospheric into organic form, such as nitrates or ammonia. An interesting fact about the Cynaobacteria is also harmful to humans beings because they produce toxins that can be ingested by eating contaminated shellfish. There are various types of algal blooms that posed a potential risk to human and animals.
