- The spacecraft is being developed by Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) .
- It consists of service module and crew module is collectively known as the orbital module.
- Isro's GSLV Mk 3, the three - stage heavy - lift launch vehicle, will be used to launch Gaganyan.
India is changed now. The Indian Space Research Organisation made many achievements in space missions programs. It will be first time that India will launch its manned mission to the space, making the country fourth in line to have sent a human to space.
Isro's GSLV Mk 3, the three stages heavy-lift vehicles, will be used to launch Gaganyan as it has necessary payload capability . GSLV Mk 3 is designed to carry 4 ton class of satellite in to Geosynchronous transfers orbit (GTO) or about ten tons to low earth orbit (Leo). The powerful cryogenic stage of GSLV Mk 3 enables it to place heavy payloads into LEO'S of 600 km altitude.
The launcher uses two s200 soild rocket boosters to provide the huge amount of thrust required for lift off. Earlier in November the Isro's chaiman said, "our priminister has declared a great gift for all of Us that is #Gaganyan mission."
